The Central Board of Secondary Education serves as both public and private schools' national secondary education board in India. The Board was in reality a dangerous experiment in interstate integration and collaboration in secondary education that was established in 1929 by a legislative decision. More than 27,000 schools in India and 240 institutions in 28 other countries are affiliated with the CBSE. All CBSE-affiliated institutions use the NCERT curriculum, especially in grades 9 through 12. The current chairwoman of the CBSE is an IAS named Nidhi Chibber. The primary responsibility of CBSE is to give its students a strong foundation and a stress-free environment in which they may study and succeed. Its objective is to provide them with a top-notch education so they may make the most positive contributions to society as a whole. It approaches education holistically, putting the needs of the students first. The CBSE frequently examines and analyses the effectiveness of its academic programs.
